学术贡献

致力于遗传病致病基因的识别和功能研究和遗传病基因诊断技术及应用研究。发现肝癌中RB1基因突变失活。首次以全面、可信的证据确定RB1基因在肝癌发生和发展过程中的作用，第一次证明蛋白免疫组织化学染色法检测抑癌基因失活更敏感、可靠；发现侯选抑癌基因p73新的多态和双等位基因表达现象；发现V型并指（趾）症和一新型短—并指（趾）综合征的致病基因。

获奖及荣誉称号

辽宁省自然科学一等奖及教育部中国高校科学技术奖（自然科学二等奖）。1997年获第五届中国青年科技奖；2000年获教育部首届“高校青年教师奖”； 2001年获国家杰出青年科学基金；2007年入选教育部长江学者特聘教授；2011年获得第四届“谈家桢生命科学创新奖”。
